WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day is June 5th 2017 and the theme this year is “Connecting People to Nature”, to get outside and enjoy nature and to appreciate the beauty of the world around us.  Canada is the host nation of World Environment Day 2017 and this theme of connecting people to nature:  This theme

“INVITES YOU TO THINK ABOUT HOW WE ARE PART OF NATURE AND HOW INTIMATELY WE DEPEND ON IT. IT CHALLENGES US TO FIND FUN AND EXCITING WAYS TO EXPERIENCE AND CHERISH THIS VITAL RELATIONSHIP.”

This is one of the ideals that we love about World Environment Day 2017, it is a people’s day, where we can do something for the environment, love nature and share in nature.  At Blue Water Safaris we want the water to always stay blue, the beaches to be clean and our land and sea creatures to have a pristine environment in which to thrive.  We recognize that by sharing our oceans with our clients we can help spread the word, the consciousness that we are all custodians of this beautiful world of ours.  The slogan “I’m with Nature” highlights the idea that too rarely in this 21st century reality do we take the time to truly appreciate and interact with this beautiful world, or in our case with our beautiful islands of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The organizers have decided to hold a photo contest of sorts, there is no winner, but the goal is create the world’s largest nature photo album.  We would like St. Kitts and Nevis, the smallest nation state in the western hemisphere, to be well represented.  Our twin island nation is full of stunning nature and wildlife encounters we can experience in many ways. Our Catamarans will bring you to pristine locations where you can snorkel in the turquoise waters and see a vibrant underwater environment.  Whether you choose to sail with us or  enjoy nature in some other way, take a picture of a moment, a scene, a bit of nature that inspires you.  Even better make it a selfie.  Tag the photo either #withnature or #worldenvironmentday include a St. Kitts and Nevis tag as well, you can even describe why that moment in nature was beautiful for you.  Not only will the world see St.Kitts and Nevis but your photo might be seen by the world leaders of the United Nations.

Please  join us in  celebrating World Environment Day.  Together we can keep our waters clear, our turtles nesting and our beaches clean.

The Birth of Blue Water Safaris

In the beginning, we had a cabin cruiser, which we used for private charters for families and small groups,  and a whaler that we could
